With a construction area of 150,000 square meters, the project is not only the largest cultural and art center in Fujian, but also the largest single-layer shell grid construction area (projected area of about 30,000 m2) and the largest single-layer shell grid span in China. (Length 165m, width 90m)
From a distance, the SCAC is shaped like five jasmine petals. Entering the venue, 5 pieces of “Jasmine Petals” each have a “mysterious machine”, which is set up with a theater hall, an opera house, a concert hall, a museum, and a film and television center. It is connected by a single-level central cultural hall, each of which is curved.
The total cost of the project exceeds the Straits Culture and Art Center of the National Center for the Performing Arts, and it is a new cultural landmark in Fuzhou.
The entire complex looks like a white jasmine flower, and each petal is a function room.
The complex is divided into five sections: Opera House, Concert Hall, Thereat Hall, Art Museum, Film&Television Center and Central Cultural Hall. The biggest one is Opera House, which connects the five halls into one piece. Below is the Central Cultural Hall.
The Strait Culture and Art Center, consisting of 5 petal-style venues, is like a bright cultural pearl, set in the Sanjiangkou area of Fuzhou New District.

In this project, the terracotta louvers use a white louver base and four sides coated with a white matt glazed material to present the designer’s design in front of everyone.
